A pool is not a product you buy once. It gets built, it ages, and the gear running it needs replacing eventually. JCW does all three parts, which is why our customers stop shopping after the first one.
01 · From bare ground
We start with the yard, not the pool
Where the afternoon sun lands, where the setbacks and utility lines fall, how the ground falls away from the house: all of that decides the shape long before anyone picks a tile. We walk it with you, then put a render in front of you so you are approving a picture, not a paragraph.
Then the ground opens up. Excavation in Laredo is its own subject: a lot of lots around here sit on caliche, and caliche does not dig like dirt. Steel goes in, plumbing gets run and pressure tested while it is still exposed, and the shell is shot in gunite. Tile, coping and decking follow once it has cured, and the equipment pad is set and started up last.

Everything worth doing happens while it is empty
A remodel starts by draining the pool, because plaster, tile and coping all need a dry shell. The old surface gets chipped out down to something sound, waterline tile comes off, coping is reset or replaced. Deck work usually rides along, since cracked decking is far easier to reach while the whole area is already torn up.
Almost every remodel that fails early fails in the prep. Plaster laid over an old surface without a bond coat will peel inside a couple of years. Tile set without an expansion joint at the bond beam cracks when the shell moves, and the ground here moves every wet and dry season. Coping that is not sloped right sends water under the deck instead of away from it.

03 · New gear, set up right
The pad is where new equipment goes in
A pump that is undersized for the pool runs constantly. An oversized one strains the plumbing. Getting new equipment right starts at the pad, sizing the pump, filter and heater to the volume and layout rather than to whatever is on the shelf.
Laredo equipment works harder than most. Pools here run close to year round, so pumps and filters clock hours that a pool further north never would, and hard water is unkind to heater exchangers and salt cells. That is why every install here is sized and specced for local conditions, not a generic swap.
