Since 2021

A Laredo company, doing Laredo pools

JCW Pools started in 2021 and has worked in this city ever since. It began with remodels on pools other companies had let go, and grew from there into new builds, without ever losing the eye for what makes a pool actually last.

That order matters. A lot of builders hand a pool over and move to the next lot. We came up the other way round, so the standard we hold on a finish or an equipment pad is the standard we started with, not one we backed into. It is a useful thing to have in mind when you are deciding how carefully to slope a piece of coping.

Today it is three services and one crew: builds, remodels and equipment installation. Residential, across Laredo, with a growing list of pools we have put in or brought back since 2021.

Drained to done

The four stages of a remodel

Four different Laredo pools, each photographed at a different point in the same process. Read left to right and you have the whole job.

    Drained

    Old surface chipped out, shell prepped dry.

    Tiled

These are four separate projects, shown as stages. They are not one pool before and after, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise.

New builds

Pools that were not there before

Every one of these started as a yard, a walk-through and a render. Rectangles, lap pools, freeform shells, tanning ledges and raised spas, shaped around the lot rather than picked from a page.

Remodels

Pools brought back

Old plaster off, new tile on, coping reset, deck made good. Most of these were built by somebody else years ago and came to us tired.

After dark

The second half of a pool’s day

Lighting, color control, fire features and the automation that runs them. In a Laredo summer the pool gets used more after sunset than before it.

Clear water

What the finished water looks like

Balanced chemistry, a clean waterline and a filter doing its job. That is what a pool looks like once a build, remodel or new equipment install is finished and dialed in.
